Role Overview

The Non-Sterile Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing customized medications in accordance with prescriptions, regulatory standards, and company procedures.

This role requires precision, accountability, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards while supporting efficient pharmacy operations.

What You’ll Do

Compound & Prepare Medications

  • Accurately prepare non-sterile compounds following established formulas and procedures

  • Measure, mix, package, and label medications with precision

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all compounded products

Ensure Compliance & Accuracy

  • Interpret prescriptions and enter data accurately into pharmacy systems

  • Follow USP <795>, HIPAA, and internal SOPs at all times

  • Present completed orders for pharmacist verification

Maintain Clean & Controlled Work Environment

  • Clean and maintain equipment according to established schedules

  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and hazardous material handling

  • Support a clean, organized, and audit-ready workspace

Support Inventory & Operations

  • Assist in managing inventory of ingredients, supplies, and compounded products

  • Participate in order processing, returns, and restocking

  • Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to maintain workflow efficiency

What We’re Looking For

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (required or strongly preferred)

  • Experience in non-sterile compounding preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain compliance

  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment

  • Experience with high-volume compounding environments preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed

  • Ability to work in a controlled lab environment with PPE
