Role Overview
The Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) is the senior pharmacy leader responsible for driving compliance, operational excellence, and production performance across sterile and non-sterile compounding at Boothwyn Pharmacy.
This role owns regulatory accountability while building a high-performing operation that delivers safe, efficient, and scalable pharmaceutical compounding.
What You’ll Do
Lead Compliance & Regulatory Excellence
Serve as the designated PIC for applicable state licenses
Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, FDA 503A, and state regulations
Act as primary contact for inspections, audits, and regulatory agencies
Maintain continuous inspection readiness
Drive Compounding Operations
Oversee sterile and non-sterile production, quality, and documentation
Ensure accuracy in formulation, labeling, and batch records
Manage cleanroom standards, environmental monitoring, and equipment compliance
Partner with Quality & Continuous Improvement
Lead investigations (deviations, complaints, CAPAs) with QA
Support new product development and process optimization
Drive efficiency, output, and operational improvements
Build & Lead High-Performing Teams
Train, coach, and develop pharmacists and technicians
Ensure competency in aseptic technique and regulatory standards
Create a culture of accountability, safety, and performance
Own Production & Performance Metrics
Oversee batch review, documentation accuracy, and release processes
Align production with demand, capacity, and inventory planning
Delivery on KPIs related to compliance, output, and efficiency
